Nineteen Minutes

What can you do in nineteen minutes? Tons of things if you really think about it. This latest novel by Jodie Picoult entitled Nineteen Minutes is one of those books I HATE but cannot put down. Dealing with the horrific topic of a school shooting, the emotions the characters go through are so raw and honest that the book is difficult to keep reading (between sobs!). You feel compelled to delve deeper into the thinking of each of the characters from different perspectives. In a review from Publisher's Weekly :"The author's insights into her characters' deep-seated emotions brings this ripped-from-the-headlines read chillingly alive." This is a must read book for parents, teachers and humanity in general.
